India vs England 1st Test Live Streaming 2012

India vs England 2012 live streaming online on ESPN STAR cricket kicks off with the first test match. This series is billed as a vengeance series where India's motive would be to defeat England with as bigger margin as possible in the test series. India suffered a white wash against England last year and the sour memories are still alive in the hearts of Indian team.

England has not won a test series here in India for almost 28 years now. England clinched number one Test status from India after beating them 4-0 in a test series in 2011. Now they are ranked on the second position and they would like to improve their standings to get closer to the number one position again.

India can move up couple of places in the ICC Test rankings if they can beat England in this test series with a minimum margin of 2-0. With home conditions in favour of India and spin friendly pitches coming into picture, test series win in favour of India looks more likely.

Adding to the pain of England team, Finn is out due to an injury and he has got a replacement to the squad. India's Ishant Sharma looks down with fever. Anyway he was most likely out of the playing eleven as India would pitch in Zaheer Khan and Umesh Yadav.

India will bank on their spinners Ojha and Ashwin. Harbhajan's place in the playing eleven looks a bit doubtful atleast for the first test match. After winning man of the series awards at home in last two test series, let us see if Ashwin can clinch a hat trick of this award.

A lot relies on the batting department of India. Looking at the good form of England batsmen Trott, Cook, Patel, Pietersen and many more to name; Indian batsmen have to perform well to score big and win. All eyes would be set on Sachin Tendulkar whose career has to stabilise in the last stage before its too late for him. Indian batting line up looks strong in the presence of Gambhir, Sehwag, Kohli, Yuvraj, Sachin, Dhoni, etc. Services of Laxman and Dravid would surely be missed and its time now for the youngsters to perform.
