Playing against spin is again a concern for England

India vs England 2012 Live Streaming

England are already playing their third warm up match and hardly four days away from the first test match. Overall they would be happy with their batting performance with almost all the batsmen getting into the right rhythm and scoring big.

On one hand there are certain injury woes for India as well as England but on the other hand both the teams have seen some of their batsmen coming back into form. So overall this promises to be a tight series. We obviously can't expect to be a one sided affair where India will dominate the whole series. This time the picture looks different. England has a better team than their previous tours, probably not a better bowling line up but certainly better batting line up.

Let us have a closer look at the batting department of England. We kept a close eye on the warm up match and one thing keeps repeating for England and that is their concerns against the spin. Against India A, England lost six wickets to the spinners in just 48 overs. A part time bowler like Yuvraj Singh got 5 wickets and Raina took one. Against the recent match against Haryana,, although England scored 500 plus runs in first innings but gave away 8 wickets to spinners in just 40 overs. This could be fatal for the England batting line up in the test series. Jayant and Mishra took 4 wickets each.

We can't write off the fact that Indian pitches would be big turners and India would like to win as many matches as they can. Although England spinners Patel, Panesar and Swann would also relish the turners but India will definitely game on turning pitches and play with their strength of spin.

This series may end up being another spin friendly series with Harbhajan, Ashwin, Panesar and Swann dominating the proceedings. We just need to wait and watch. Who knows probably the England spinners may take home more advantage with the spin amiable tracks. Stay tuned for more India vs England 2012 live streaming updates.
