India vs Australia 1st practice match has begun today in Chennai. This match is played at India Cement Limited Guru Nanak College Ground. This will be a two day match. Thus Australia gets an opportunity to get used to the Indian conditions following which they will play another warm up match against India A which will be led by Gautam Gambhir.
Matthew Wade is the captain for the Australians in this warm up match against India Board President's XI. Matthew Wade commented that this tour is of utmost importance to them and fast bowlers can be equally important as spinner are in India.
India played their best spinners against England but still suffered a series loss. England had a better amalgamation of spin and fast bowlers which gave them the upper hand. Wade has observed all this and he says these implementations would help them too in this tour to India.
Wade admits that Indians are good players of spin and they play better especially at home. So this would be a tough tour but they have come here with good preparation. Meanwhile an update from Chennai is that Australian XI has won the toss against Indian Board President XI and opted to bat first.
