India vs Australia 3rd ODI
Hasn't this turned out to be an enthralling ODI series? It certainly has! It has grabbed a lot of eyeballs, much more than expected - thanks to an unbelievable victory by India that broke many world records. We can review the last match later in this post, but the series is now nicely poised at 1-1 and we are set for another exciting match at Mohali. The match being on a lovely Saturday, we all can sit back, relax and enjoy live TV telecast of this match in India on Star Cricket and Star Sports TV Channels. Don't forget India vs Australia live streaming on Star Sports website is available in India.
Let us just go back to the last match. Australia batted beautifully to score a mammoth score of 359 which looked unlikely to be chased by all means. Some good innings from Finch, Bailey, Watson and Hughes allowed Australia to reach that big total. Indian bowling looked disappointing again. Some credit always goes to the flat concrete pitches here in India that work as hell for the bowlers.
The pitch factor stayed true for the Australian bowlers as well when they looked more disappointing than the Indian bowlers. India got a flying start with Dhawan and Sharma. Dhawan missed his century by few runs as he had to depart in ninetees. But these two had already laid a very strong foundation for an unbelievable chase. Then came Mr. Kohli who was in a completely differend mood. He smashed the bowlers all over the park to score a 52 balls century! The fastest ODI hundred by any Indian as he broke Sehwag's record. Man of the match award went to Rohit Sharma who scored his highest ODI score of 141 runs.
Interestingly Australia is involved in top 5 run ODI run chases - top four involved them as the losing team! India's chase to beat Australia at Jaipur was the second highest ever in the ODI history. Above all they chased 360 with 6.3 overs to spare! Here is a 'Manhattan' of India's innings at Jaipur.
Talking about Mohali, the pitch here would offer some bounce and pace. Although the last match produced an exciting win for India but we can't write off the fact that bowling was dismal. Hopefully the bowlers have something to cheer about at Mohali. Any guesses who would clinch a win in the India vs Australia 2nd ODI?
