India vs WI 2nd ODI
Got to see some good cricket from world champs in the first ODI? Time for the second match! Star Sports official website will provide live streaming online whereas Star Sports TV channels will provide live telecast of India vs West Indies 2nd ODI. The match venue is Vishakhapatnam's ACA-VDCA stadium which has been a lucky hunting ground for India.
Let us have some information on this venue. India has played four ODIs here and won all of them. How can we forget the first match played here in 2005 when MS Dhoni became famous with his brilliant 148 runs in 123 balls against arch rivals Pakistan. Hopefully rain God stay away from this match as cyclone Helen can create some disturbances. The good news comes from the forecasters as they predict no rain on Sunday!
Indian team registered a comprehensive win at Kochi. West Indies team again looked lack lustred as they couldn't match the standards of the world champions. West Indies batted first and scored 211 as they were bowled out after 48.5 overs. Surprisingly Raina clinched three wickets and Jadeja clinched three too to continue his tally of maximum wickets in 2013 ODI calendar.
In reply, India got a shaky start as Dhawan departed early. But Kohli and Rohit Sharma anchored the innings pretty well as the sealed an assured win before they went back to the pavilion. Kohli also became the join fastest batsman to score 5000 runs in ODI cricket along with Sir Vivian Richards. He scored 86 runs in 84 balls whereas Sharma contributed 72 off 81 balls. India won the match ultimately after losing four wickets.
Virat Kohli has been impressive so far in all forms of cricket. While Rohit Sharma leads the ODI runs chart and Jadeja the wicket chart in 2013, Kohli is ranked number one in ICC ODI rankings. Here is Kohli's wagon wheel in the first ODI.
We can expect a lot fireworks and tumbling wickets at Vishakhapatnam if weather stays good. Let us see if we have some fightback from the West Indies team or else it would again be the strong Indian team to win another one here. Stay with us for more post match analysis.
