India vs South Africa 3rd ODI

Ten Cricket and Cricket Country continues its live streaming action online for the Indian cricket fans. We are now into the third and final ODI match for this series which is already pocketed by South Africa. The first two ODIs are already won by the home team and all India can do is save some pride by winning the last one. Two humiliating defeats on the trot has shattered the confidence in the Indian camp. This ODI series is followed by a test series which involves even bigger pride. So only a win here can boos the morale of the Indian team.

Indian batsmen are being heavily criticised for their inability to play pace and bounce on foreign pitches. It is high time now, the Indian batsmen and bowlers should fire all cylinders and provide their best performances at the Super Sport Park.

The visitors suffered a 141 runs loss in the first ODI which was followed by an equally disappointing 136 runs loss. The target in the second ODI wasn't that mammoth and looking at the great Indian batting line up a win was expected. But they succumbed to pressure when they faced the pace battery of Steyn, Morkel and company.

It is also high time now the team should look for an option for out of form players like Yuvraj and Raina. They haven't clicked consistently in the recent past. India certainly has a good bench strength where they can pick up young talent and nurture them before the 2015 World Cup.

Indian bowling has also been disappointing, as usual. They need to raise their standards if they have to prove the claim of being world champions on the foreign pitches. The only noteworthy Indian bowler who is doing well is Shami. We can expect another set of changes in the playing XI here but Dhoni can't afford to rest Shami in the third ODI.

South Africa has already clinched the ODI series so they might look to rest players like Kallis and Steyn. They have already declared an unchanged squad for the test series and hence they may plan to rest Steyn and Kallis. Does this bring a sigh of relief for the Indian team? Only time can tell!

Something about the venue for 3rd ODI - Centurion is described as one the best stadiums with world class players' facilities. It doesn't provide too much of support to the spinners. Quick pitch here offers bounce to the bowlers and balls come easily onto the bat. In case if it rains here, the drainage system is excellent! The only alarming condition here for the Indians again would be the pace and bounce! If Indian batsmen can stick out there and gather good runs they can post a big total. Adding to it the Indian bowlers need to get rid of the top South African order at the earliest.
