South Africa vs New Zealand and Sri Lanka vs Netherlands Live Today

T20 World Cup Live on Star Sports in India

After couple of great matches played yesterday its time now for an exciting clash between New Zealand and South Africa followed by Sri Lanka taking on the Netherlands. These two matches r to be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. If you missed the quality cricket played yesterday, don't afford to miss it to. Star Sports brings it live on TV and online for you in India.

India with two comfortable wins tops the Group 2 standings. Today we are going to watch two matches from Group 1. Let us preview each of them:

1st match today:
South Africa vs New Zealand

South Africa would play an almost do or die match against New Zealand. They lost their first match to Sri Lanka and now they lock horns with a good T20 team New Zealand. New Zealand tops the points tally with one win against England and a Net Run Rate of +1.69. South Africa's Net Run Rate is -0.25. The other team that stands in top two is Srilanka. So to qualify for the semis South Africa will have to gather things before its too late.

New Zealand looks a pretty confident unit after they clinched home series against India. They have a good bunch of quality pacers. Same is with South Africa. So overall this has to be an affair of pacers! Imran Tahir could make a difference as he can create troubles for New Zealand batsmen who may find it hard to handle a witty spinner. For South Africa, the middle order looks brittle. If New Zealand can get rid of South African openers quickly, then the middle order will be exposed and worth a chance to capitalise.

2nd match today:
Sri Lanka vs Netherlands

Sri Lanka is considered to be the top favourites to clinch this T20 World Cup. Reasons? They have a great mix of quality spinners, good pacers and high scoring batsmen. Above all they have done very well in all recent ICC events and they also won the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. They opened their t20 world cup 2014 account with a win over the strong South African team.

They are playing Netherlands today. This team created an upset by eliminating qualifier group favourites Zimbabwe and Ireland. They produced some great cricket and deserved to be a part of the Super 10s. Now they are up against biggies. Even if they come up again with one or two upsets, that would be worth a watch. For this particular match, it is really going to get tougher for them to face the likes of Malinga and Mendis.
