Indian cricket fans have a lot more to cheer about. Out of the total 12, four teams are from Indian. Out of these four, three are already into the group stage - Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab. The fourth team that has to lock horns in qualifiers would be Mumbai Indians. If the fourth one could make it to the group stage, it would be advantage India.

Something about the teams in the qualifiers round:

Mumbai Indians - This team has lifted the Champions League trophy twice (2011 and 2013). Rohit Sharma the captain is out due to injury. Pollard will lead the team. With the likes of Malinga, Harbhajan, Simmons and Hussey; the team seems to be favourites to move ahead for the group stage.

Lahore Lions - This could be considered as the second favourite team to advance to the next round. This team won the Fayasal Bank T20 cup of Pakistan to qualify here. Led by Mohammad Hafeez and accompanied by Jamshed, Akmal, Shehzad, Riaz and many more, this team can create upsets in the tournament ahead.

Northern Knights - New Zealanders are well known for their explosive batting in T20s. Here is a team from New Zealand. This team lifted HRV cup to qualify here. We can consider them as underdogs in the tournament. Noteworthy players are Williamson, Daniel Harris, Sodhi, Boult and Flynn.

Southern Express - Team from Srilanka that clinched Super 4s T20 cup will be led by Jehan Mubarak. Malinga who was a part of this team will play for Mumbai Indians. Other notable players are Dilruwan Perera and Farveez Maharoof.

Don't forget - only two times of these four can qualify for the group stage. So the qualifiers are meant to be highly competitive and treat for us to watch. Stay tuned with Star Sports for live action, score and updates.
